The National Osteoporosis Society was founded in 1986 and has grown in to a well respected national charity with approximately 25,000 members.

The National Osteoporosis Society is the only UK-wide charity that represents and campaigns for the millions of people in the UK affected by osteoporosis each year. It is also the only national charity dedicated to improving the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis.

The vision of the National Osteoporosis Society is a future without fragility fractures.

The mission of the National Osteoporosis Society is to work together for a brighter future for people with or at risk of osteoporosis and fragility fractures across the UK, putting an end to preventable broken bones and helping people to live without pain and disability.

Whether you are personally affected by osteoporosis, a health care professional seeking technical information on osteoporosis, or whether you simply wish to find out general information on osteoporosis, the National Osteoporosis Society will be able to help you.
